Contact
MIHARU is maintained by a small independent team based in Tokyo. The best way to reach us is through GitHub — we check it regularly and typically respond within a few days.
How to get in touch
- Bug reports & broken layers
If a layer is not loading, showing wrong data, or the map is broken, reach out via GitHub. Include which layer, what you expected to see, and what you saw instead.
- Feature requests
Have a data source you'd like to see on the map? Suggest it on GitHub with a link to the data source and a brief description of why it would be useful. Japan-native official data sources are prioritised.
- Data accuracy issues
MIHARU proxies data from official government sources, volunteer networks, and open-data APIs. If you believe a data point is wrong, please check the source directly and flag the issue with a link to the authoritative source.
- General questions
For general questions about how the app works, what data sources are used, or usage terms, check the About page first — it covers data sources, known limitations, and usage notes.
Response times
MIHARU is a side project maintained outside of working hours. We aim to respond to GitHub issues within a few days, though complex issues may take longer. Critical bugs affecting data accuracy or site availability are prioritised.
Please do not send emergency-services requests through this channel. In a real emergency, follow official guidance from the Japan Meteorological Agency, local authorities, and emergency services.
